Some charge more than 40pc — for example, the BA Amex Premium Plus at 43.5pc and Ultima from Citibank at 41.2pc. With increasing numbers of people finding it difficult to make ends meet as the cost of living rises, it is essential to make sure that, if you do have to turn to credit, you are getting the best deal possible."
